Over two weeks, students explored iconic destinations including Paris, the Loire Valley, Lyon, and Montpellier while practising their French in real-life settings. The highlights according to our students included visiting the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Versailles and the medieval city of Carcassonne, as well as travelling by metro and train like locals. Our students also enjoyed cooking classes, French pastries and time in smaller towns, such as Tours and Villers-Bretonneux. The evenings spent sharing meals, games and conversations strengthened friendships and created lasting memories.
Beyond sightseeing, the tour built confidence, independence and a global perspective, alongside improved knowledge of the French language and culture, and will be without a doubt the highlight of the school year for those on the trip.
